Partnered with a subwoofer, the D 830IW provides a sound quality that even matches the best free-standing speaker systems. An acoustical back-box is supplied for optimal protection and sound reproduction.

Copper centre plug
The massive copper centre plug in the middle of the magnesium loudspeaker cone replaces the traditional dust cap, making the cone lighter and faster, and preventing any possibility of sonic break-up. It also prevents pressure-swings behind the dust cap when the cone moves, enabling more dynamic and precise sound reproduction.The copper centre plug also cools the voice coil, providing greater power-handling capability and very stable sound reproduction no matter how high you turn the volume.

Magnesium cone
Designing a loudspeaker cone involves striking an optimal balance between stiffness and low weight. The stiffer the cone, the more effective the bass becomes. And the lighter the cone, the more dynamic reproduction becomes. Magnesium combines stiffness and low weight, resulting in highly effective and dynamic reproduction.

Bi-wiring
The D830IW is prepared for optional bi-wiring, and bi-amplification, for truly high-end performance.

Paintable
The speakers white frame can be painted for perfect integration with the surroundings. We recommend using a spray paint. The fabric grille should not be painted, but can be dyed.
